This past week, I had the distinct honour of serving as the Master of Ceremonies and Opening Keynote Speaker at the 24th Global Family Office Investment Summit at the Trump International Beach Resort in Miami. Bringing together the world’s most influential family offices, investors, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders, this summit was more than just a meeting of minds — it was a blueprint for the future of capital, innovation, and impact.
My travels started off with an averted destiny, as I was on the runway at Toronto International Airport when a Delta plane landed upside down. All flights were canceled, and the only possible way to make it to Miami on time was to drive through the night (through a snowstorm) to Pittsburgh and fly to Miami…It was a mission that required Maximum Effort (post about it here), but after 30 hours of travel, we made it! This is why I am wearing a leather jacket on the first day…I went directly from the airport to the conference!
